Gothenburg English Studio Theatre (GEST) has since its founding in late 2005 made its mark on the Swedish theatre scene, playing for full-houses and creating quality, contemporary, award-winning theatre in the English language.

GEST is the only professional English language theatre in western Sweden. We bring the very best of British contemporary drama in its original language to Sweden.

GEST is run by Artistic Directors Kristina Brändén Whitaker and Gary Whitaker. Actors are recruited from Britain for every production whilst a superb Swedish production team takes care of set and light design, music and administration. Gothenburg English Studio Theatre is situated on Chapmans torg in the heart of Majorna in Gothenburg and has two stages, one an intimate 50-seater and the main stage, which seats 90.

GEST drivs av konstnärliga ledare Kristina Brändén Whitaker och Gary Whitaker. Skådespelare och regissörer bjuds in från Storbritannien för att medverka i föreställningarna. Gothenburg English Studio Theatre är en intim teater med två scen belägen på Chapmans torg i hjärtat av Majorna.
